This innovative single-family residence in San Antonio was renovated with sustainability and the historic context of its neighborhood in mind. Much consideration was given to the site to help reduce impact. Hence, some former elements of the previous 1948 structure were incorporated into the new design. Passive systems utilizing neighborhood archetypes were also implemented to produce shading and reduce solar gain.
