LUXE Interiors + Design’s annual RED Awards recognizes and honors excellence, innovation and the best residential architecture, interior design, built environment and landscape architecture projects across the country.

Guidelines:

• All times are expressed in U.S. Eastern time. If a date is the beginning or opening of a period, the deadline occurs at 12:00 a.m. on that day. If a date is the ending or closing of a period, the deadline occurs at 11:59 p.m. on that day.
• Entries must be submitted and received via the online entry system by 11:59 p.m. on December 13, 2024.
• Only residential projects from design firms are accepted.
• Awards will only be made to the submitting individual lead firm, not to design teams. Submissions can be made only by a design professional or a firm, no consumer or homeowner submissions will be accepted.
• Categories may be renamed, consolidated, or eliminated and entries may be reassigned at the editors’ discretion.
• Submissions will only be considered for awards in the category for which they were submitted.
• Regions may be renamed, consolidated, or reclassified and entries may be reassigned at the editors’ discretion.
• All images must be jpg or tiff format. Low-resolution images can be submitted. If you have a winning project, you will be contacted for high-resolution photography.
• No photo renderings will be accepted.
• A project description is required.
• Entries for each category are voted on regionally: Greater New York, Florida (Palm Beach + Broward, Miami and Naples + Sarasota), Houston, Dallas, Austin, Chicago, Arizona, Colorado + the Rockies, San Francisco, Southeast, Los Angeles-Southern California, Pacific Northwest (“Regional Category Winners”).
• Regional Category Winners will compete on a National level. National Category Winners and Readers’ Choice Winners will be selected for each of the 10 categories.
• Entries from areas outside of these primary regions will be voted on for a “Best of the Rest” award. If LUXE does not receive at least 10 qualifying submissions per category, LUXE will award one overall “Best of the Rest” award that is not category specific. The Best of the Rest award winner(s) will not compete on a National level.

Eligibility:

• Design, building, architecture and landscaping professionals within the United States who have completed work on a project are eligible to make a submission of that project.
• Project submissions may be located anywhere in the United States and must have been completed between 2023 and 2024. We will accept submissions that have been previously published.
• Regional winners are determined by where the firm is located; not where the project is located.
• Entries must be of a completed space or project.

Judging Criteria:

• In conjunction with LUXE Interiors + Design’s Editor in Chief, a multidisciplinary panel of notable industry experts will review submissions and select winners.
• Each project is evaluated on its own merits according to the following criteria:
  • Aesthetics: Is the design engaging, compelling, visually stimulating? Does it provoke interest, have the capacity to be captivating? 
  • Regionally Relevant: How well does the project fit into its regional landscape and environment based on its location? How appropriate is it in context?
  • Creativity: Does it incorporate a forward-thinking or original approach, use a new medium or materials?

Readers’ Choice:

Entrants may opt into the Readers’ Choice Award, which will be based on results of online voting from the general public, for each Category. Voting will take place online January 27-February 14, 2025 via luxeredawards.com.

Submission Specs:

Images

• Submit at least 5 images in jpg or tiff format.
• Professionally shot high-resolution images strongly recommended. Low-resolution images will still be accepted.
• Winners will be contacted for high-resolution photography.
• Restoration or Renovation submissions: Before-and-after images (up to 10 images) are required.
• Images submitted may not contain watermarks and/or logos.
• Image descriptions must include a caption and photographer credit.
• Images submitted may not contain depictions of individuals.
• No photo renderings will be accepted

Description

• Submit project/room description of up to 200 words, which should include:
  • Inspiration behind the project/room.
  • Notes on architectural features.
  • Notes on style and/or color palette.
  • Notes on distinctive materials.

Fees:

• 1st Submission – Early Bird Pricing- $270 Oct. 7 – Oct. 25, 2024.
• 1st Submission – Regular Pricing – $300 Oct. 26 – Nov. 30, 2024.
• 1st Submission – Late Entry Pricing – $350 (Dec. 1 – Dec. 13, 2024)
• $100 for additional submissions.
• $40 for each Readers’ Choice submission.
• Early bird entries must be submitted and received via the online entry system by 11:59 p.m (U.S. Eastern time) on October 25, 2024.
• All material required for a submission must be provided by the date and time when submissions close. Submissions that do not follow specifications will be disqualified without notice or refund.

Winners Receive*:

• LUXE will feature a selection of winners in a print issue of LUXE Interiors + Design, on our social media platforms and on luxesource.com.
• All winners will receive promotion on luxeredawards.com.
• Prestigious Display Award.
• Recognition at LUXE RED Awards ceremony.
• Social media assets to promote their win.

General Terms & Conditions:

Works are excluded from the competition if their presentation would infringe a right or display disputed material. The entrant authorizes LUXE Interiors + Design to publish the submission in the print edition of the magazine, on luxesource.com, luxeredawards.com, DesignTV by SANDOW and any affiliated websites and social media platforms. The submission may be reproduced, in whole or in part, for editorial and promotional purposes.

Entrants acknowledge that they have read the Official Rules of the 2025 RED Awards, and in particular the sections on entrant’s representations, warranties and covenants regarding their Submission Content, as well as our Privacy Policy. Submission Content becomes the property of LUXE Interiors + Design and LUXE Media Group, LLC and their Affiliates, and will not be returned.

Refunds are not available for submissions once they have been formally entered. Submissions made that do not follow specifications are disqualified, and we will unfortunately not be able to provide a refund.
